Start and Start Again

Here I go again. Feeling like I’m starting from the beginning with my Zrii business. That doesn’t mean I haven’t done anything – it just means that I’m starting again – and again. I’ve had some great experiences over the past month and much of what I’ve learned I will be able to share with you. Not only will it make me a better person, a better Zrii IE, but also a better trainer. Life is always a journey. Sometimes you know exactly where you’re going, and the path to get there, and sometimes you only know part of it. I hope you stay with me as we begin the journey again!

Working With Women – The Power of Connection

Approximately 80% of the people in network marketing are women and yet men have typically been the leaders in the financial gains in the business. As we grow our Zrii businesses, we need to learn how to approach women, market to them and nurture them into successful network marketers.

This Saturday join Willow Sibert, theZtrainer as she discusses how to successfully market to and work with women in our business. Learn subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) differences that will not only help your business expand but give both men and women the tools needed to recognize and market to these differences. New Time for Zrii Women Calls

To all of you awesome women who have joined me on the past 3 calls, thanks so much! For those of you who want to be part of our group, it’s not too late. Select the tab called “Zrii Women” at the top of the page under the header and follow the instructions to sign up.

On last week’s call we decided to begin an hour earlier for all the calls in September and October. This serves two purposes: first, our east coast gals don’t have to stay up until 11PM on the call, and as we noticed this past Monday, corporate decided to do an additional training on the back office then. At least if there are additional corporate trainings, we should be done with our call giving you the opportunity to listen to both if you choose.

The calls are fantastic! So much sharing and connecting and learning how to be successful in Zrii while juggling the miriad of responsibilities that we women seem to take on.

Perfection

The other day I wrote a Z-Tip on perfection. I was doing my usual “soul searching” and asking the ultimate question, “What stops me?” I really got into this question and so thought I would share with you here in this blog my biggee – PERFECTION!

In my life I seem to run into the “P’ words as I call them. Patience, Pride, Procrastination and Perfection. Right now perfection is “up for me.” Here’s how my inner dialogue runs when I think about my Zrii business

I have to have my “speech” perfect before I talk to someone.
I have to know all about the product before I talk to someone.
I have to know the compensation plan perfectly before I talk to someone.
I have to lose 5 pounds before I go out in public to talk to someone.
I have to clean my house, wash my car and feed the goldfish before I invite someone over to talk to them.
I have to wait for the perfect time before talking with someone.
I have to have perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect car…. perfect __________ (fill in the blank)

So far as I know, there’s only been one person so far that was perfect and could walk on water, so I guess it’s time to let go of the need to be perfect. Maybe I’ll try it next lifetime.

The Elevator Speech

What do you do when you only have a few seconds and someone asks you, “What do you?” Most of us don’t even get that far when standing in a line because we don’t know what to say to even start the conversation and get the chance to share.

Len Farace shared the formula for a simple, yet extremely effective response that everyone needs to memorize. Two simple sentences that begin like this:

“Do you know how……….” and,

“Well, What I do is……..”

You fill in the blanks. For instance you might say,

“Do you know how everyone seems to be stressed out these days and not getting enough sleep?

Well…….What I do is market a product that helps people alleviate those problems.” (or whatever you’re comfortable saying as long as it addresses the solution to the problem you stated in the “Do you know how…” statement. The above is great when focusing on the product.

Focusing on the business might go like this:

“Do you know how everyone seems to be worried about the economy and how the price of gasoline is getting outrageous – and all we hear on the news is how bad the mortgage industry is?

What I do is show people how they can work parttime from home, and create a lifetime stream of income that will allow them to retire with more money and peace of mind.”

The final part of “what I do is” goes like this… “Do you know anyone who might be interested in something like that?”
